WHAT DOES
“HUMNAVA”
MEAN
Humnava literally means companion, or one who shares your voice. In South Asian qawwali, the
humnavas are the singers who sit behind the qawwal, the lead vocalist, lending their voices
in support and helping carry the performance forward.
Humnava is built on that same idea. It is not one voice, but many voices coming together to
create something shared. From our soundscape to the stories behind the music, Humnava is
rooted in the belief that collaboration can transform diversity into unity.
BEHIND EVERY GREAT PROJECT LIES A CORE TEAM, WHO BELIEVE!
